What This Eyewear Protects Against
Laser safety goggles are rated eyewear that absorb specific laser wavelengths before they reach the eye. The 2907 lens carries OD6 across 190-550 nm and 800-1100 nm, blocking 99.9999% of the energy at those rated bands.
A 532 nm vascular beam or an 810 nm diode reflection can burn the retina in a fraction of a second, and that injury is usually permanent. OD6 attenuation keeps a stray reflection off the eye through the entire treatment.
Built for Visible and Near-Infrared Lasers
The two rated bands map cleanly onto the platforms a busy aesthetic practice runs. The lens covers 532 nm KTP vascular and pigment work in the visible range, then 810 nm diode and 1064 nm Nd:YAG devices in the 800-1100 nm near-infrared range.
Selective filtering blocks those bands while transmitting enough visible light to keep the field clear. A lightweight frame with lateral coverage stays comfortable across back-to-back cases in medspa, dermatology, plastic surgery, and training settings.
