AFI - 1.0 Complications & Vascular Emergencies
Filler is a non-invasive procedure, but non-invasive is not the same as risk-free. This course prepares a provider for the moments when something goes wrong.
The Complications & Vascular Emergencies course is an online training module that teaches the detection, prevention, and management of dermal filler complications, including vascular events and hyaluronidase use, with a certificate of completion on finishing. It is the safety layer beneath the Face Med Store filler curriculum.
Face Med Store built this course because complications, though rare, demand a known protocol. The lessons give a comprehensive overview of what can go wrong during and after treatment, then move into the actions that resolve it.
Vascular events sit at the center. A provider learns to manage vascular complications that can otherwise progress to outcomes such as tissue necrosis or vision loss, and learns the hyaluronidase protocols used to dissolve incorrectly placed hyaluronic acid filler. The course is not a substitute for emergency medical care when a serious event occurs.
